A brand new ❝Lizzie McGuire❞ series is coming
Hilary Duff will reprise the role as Lizzie in an all-new “Lizzie McGuire” series! ♥
Hilary announced it on D23Expo. The series will stream on Disney+ and the show's original creator Terri Minsky is involved.
A premiere date or if anyone else from the original cast will return hasn't been announced yet.
The original “Lizzie McGuire” series ran for two seasons on Disney Channel from 2001 to 2004. The series was also adapted into a movie, “The Lizzy McGuire Movie”, that was released in 2003.
In the new series, Lizzie works as an apprentice to a fancy New York City decorator and is dating a guy who owns a fancy restaurant, and she is about to celebrate her 30th birthday. Animated Lizzie will still be in the series with the same outfit!
“Lizzie has also grown up, she's older, she's wiser, she has a much bigger shoe budget,” Hilary said. “She has her dream job, the perfect life right now working as an apprentice to a fancy New York City decorator.”

I have been a big fan and loved Hilary since the early 2000s and seeing her in “Lizzie McGuire”, I have seen all of her movies and every TV-show she has been starring in. So this is some of the best and happiest news ever, and it really is like a dream coming true.
