“Sailor Moon Crystal”, known in Japan as “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal” (美少女戦士セーラームーンCrystal Bishōjo Senshi Sērā Mūn Kurisutaru), is a 2014 anime series produced by Toei Animation, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Naoko Takeuchi's shōjo manga series “Sailor Moon”. 

“Sailor Moon Crystal” serves as a reboot of the series, as opposed to a remake of the previous 1992 anime series, aiming to become a more faithful adaptation of the original manga.
 
The story focuses on Usagi Tsukino, a young girl who is granted the power to become the titular protagonist and is joined by fellow Sailor Guardians in search of a Legendary Silver Crystal.

“Sailor Moon Crystal” premiered on Saturday, July 5, 2014. The series is planned for 26 episodes and a new episode will be released every other Saturday.
